Create a system that provides Beisance’s employees with access to emails on-the-go [mobile], incorporating elements of hosted enterprise email systems but excluding Microsoft Exchange/Lotus exchange.

Project Execution

Our goal was to use Google Apps For Domains as the base email platform. This platform is a hosted solution from Google not dissimilar from Microsoft Exchange. Given it’s hosted "Cloud" nature it was a better proposition from the stand-point of ease of administration. We provisioned Beisance on Google Apps For Domain [domain name acquisition, domain hosting acquisition and provisioning, Total DNS/MX records updating] and then provisioned the company’s BlackBerry Phones to work with the domain over a Carrier’s [MTN's] BlackBerry Internet Service [BIS] network.

As part of this job we also provisioned custom URLS for additional services on offer from the Google Apps For Domain platform such as Email, Calendaring, Sites [similar to Microsoft's SharePoint concept] & Hosted Docs [Documents] via the updating Beisance’s DNS/MX/CNAME Records.

This overall approach met our requirements while also allowing for a secure platform second to none. Our employees are now just as connected and efficient on the move [while mobile] as they are when they are at Beisance’s Lagos HQ!

Develop a website for Beisance’s Airport & Intra-City Car Hire Service

Project Execution

We decided to base this website on Microsoft’s Active Server Pages technology. We selected this approach due to the robustness of this platform.

We used the Master Pages technology and matched the overall look and feel to the that of Beisance’s main page in order to keep in sync with Beisance’s corporate branding. Conceptualisation, design & styling, code writing, debugging & live testing was carried out by Beisance | iSance. We will also be carrying out on-going development/enhancements & support.

Project Brief

Create A Custom Webhosted Blog On The WordPress Platform. Beisance | iSance was contacted and commissioned by a our client [Pass Africa] to create a custom designed blog.

Project Execution

For the execution of this project we selected WordPress as our base platform. We did this mainly because given the client’s various blog requirements, WordPress offers the best combination of flexibility and speed with respect to modifications and deployment. It is also a very stable, mature and secure platform.

Beisance | iSance was involved in conceptualisation, domain acquisition and management, provisioning of users on the domain, provisioning of the domain on Google Apps For Domains and creating users thereon, customisation of the blog’s theme, twitter handle creation  and feed integration, forum provisioning and customisation, post tag structuring, advanced site statistics, MySQL database provisioning [for the Blog and forum applications], backup systems integration, project testing and we will be providing on-going support for the client.

As this project is still on-going, several aspects of the details posted above will change. As these changes occur we will update this showcase post. This project is being managed to Prince2 specifications.
